Go Green Wilmette regrets to inform you that we will not be recycling electronics at Going Green Matters 2017. We are pleased to announce, however, that we will recycle household batteries and bicycles.
Household Battery Recycling:
Residents can bring household batteries for recycling. Interstate Batteries of Skokie, Illinois will properly recycle all batteries.
All rechargeable batteries*
Auto or Marine batteries
*For 9volt alkaline and any rechargeable batteries that are not fully discharged, please cover the electrodes with plastic tape.
Donate your old bikes of any condition. Working Bikes of Chicago gives new life to old bikes by refurbishing, when necessary, and redistributing them in local and global communities. The bikes provide transportation, enable the transport of goods to markets, and are used to generate electricity for lighting, pumping well water, and communications. NO ELECTRONICS RECYCLING
The members of Go Green Wilmette regret that, due to the high cost of hiring an electronics recycling company, we are unable to conduct an electronics recycling collection at Going Green Matters 2017. For information about electronics recycling opportunities, please see:
